PAVEMENT

Zetica's integrated high-speed GPR acquisition system was developed specifically for use on roads. The system combines GPR, GPS (global positioning system) and video technologies to achieve the precise data registration required for accurate calibration of the GPR results.

In the latest GPR performance trial, run at the end of 2003 by the Transport Research Laboratory on behalf of the Highways Agency, we were consistently able to register roadside features to within 0.5m laterally from data acquired at speeds in excess of 80km/hr.

Zetica passed the trial successfully and is certified by the Highways Agency to undertake high-speed pavement surveys on the motorway and all-purpose trunk-road networks.

For customers who require it, Zetica is able to offer a one-stop-shop service for pavement engineering surveys that combines GPR, traffic management, topographic surveying and core sampling.
