UXO Risk Management Policy for Transco
Drawing on past experience of providing written guidance documents on Unexploded Ordnance (UXO), Zetica issued Transco with a set of formal general procedures to assist in mitigating the risk from potential UXO at sites across the UK.
The procedures were drawn up following Zetica’s involvement on a pipeline project in Wales where Transco unexpectedly uncovered UXO. See Brecon Beacons case history.
Transco’s project and safety team were intimately involved to finalise the procedures to ensure that these covered as many potential work situations as possible.
Zetica offers ‘tool box’ safety briefings providing background to the site and its conditions, the overall scope of work, the indicated hazards and the safe working methods for those hazards.
