One of our GroundCheck™ geophysical survey teams has just finished a GPR survey of parts of a Castle. The aim of the survey was to identify potential voids beneath the structure.

Well we found some voids, including quite an interesting one!  The radargrams in the image show what we believe is a buried chamber or tunnel with an arched roof, probably associated with an historic entrance to the castle.

The chamber extends across an area of 1.5m by 4.0m and is around 4.5m deep!
