We are looking for a proactive, diligent person to maintain our equipment and resources for our surveying and product innovation teams.
Key tasks are: Equipment and resource preparation, including delivery logistics, equipment servicing and calibration and maintaining and tracking an accurate inventory of holdings.
Experience of facilities management is desirable along with practical DIY skills.
The successful applicant be organised, flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities, be self-motivated, physically fit and have good Microsoft Office skills. Good written and spoken English is essential as are good general communication skills and a clean driving licence.
You will report directly to the Company's Equipment Manager.

Zetica Ltd is looking for an experienced Geophysicist to work within our busy and successful engineering and environmental geophysics team.
Based at our Oxfordshire offices, you will need relevant experience in near-surface geophysics, ideally both site work and back-office data processing and interpretation.
You will have a working knowledge of a wide range of typical geophysical methods for the assessment and mapping of ground conditions, hazards, utility services and other shallow buried features typically related to construction or infrastructure projects.
You will have a relevant degree and ideally experience with Autocad and Geosoft Oasis Montaj. Excellent writing skills are vital to this position.
Dealing with clients, you will need to be focused on completing projects to time and budget. Most of your work will be UK based, but there will be opportunities to travel overseas for specific projects.

Utilities Survey Manager

Visual Data Processor (temporary position)
Zetica’s Rail department invites speculative applications for Visual Data Processors. Zetica undertakes surveys within the railway environment to ascertain the condition of the track. The visual data processor (VDP) role involves interpreting a grey scale dataset and determining where the base of the ballast is. The work, while interesting is very visual but monotonous. This work would not suit someone with impaired eyesight. Being at ease and focused whilst working at a computer for 8 hours a day is important.
Zetica will provide comprehensive training. An interest in science, computers , geography, geology and physics would be advantageous for the position. We are looking for candidates who take personal pride in finishing a job to a high standard and in a timely fashion. A person who has natural focus and diligence would take this work on with ease.
As a key member of the Zetica Rail project team the VDP role requires you to work both as an individual but also realising the importance of the overall project status and delivery deadlines. Being able to demonstrate previous experience of working to deadlines would be beneficial.
Employment in this role is often on a temporary basis so might best suit a local person.
Salary - £75/day, inclusive of holiday pay.

Interested in Military History?
We are looking to recruit researchers with an interest in history (particularly military history) to form part of our growing Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) department.
The successful candidate will be involved in undertaking the historical research that underpins our risk assessment reports, which are used by a wide variety of developers to ensure that their site works can go ahead safely.
As such, you will be required to display a tenacity in the commercial context of tight deadlines, ensuring that no information of any significance is overlooked and be able to communicate in a clear and concise manner when drafting reports. The role is heavily dependent on archival research and therefore experience in this field is essential, although further relevant training will be provided.
This role would suit a local resident with the capability and desire to fulfil project deadlines to the highest standard possible, in the process maintaining Zetica’s reputation as the UK leaders of the UXO industry. The role is available immediately.
Salary is £20,000 to £25,000 pa depending on experience. Benefits include a health cash scheme and pension.
