Mapping the built environment

Zetica’s combines state-of-the-art multi-channel Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and CAT technology with unrivalled experience in mapping the built environment to rapidly provide accurate utilities maps.

An integrated non-invasive and visual inspection utilities survey was carried out after hours in a car park in Surrey. The objective was to confirm the location of utilities indicated on historic plans and identify unrecorded services ahead of redevelopment.

The survey included a combined GPR survey with Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and visual surveys of available inspection covers, facilitating accurate determination of location, depth and identity of underground utility services, including pipes, cables and service culverts/ducts. A detailed topographic survey was also carried out to show the results in context.
